Euphoria - Iris

First shown at the Rochester Art Fair, May 3/5th 2024, this collections of watercolours with pen and ink discuss the difference between thought and memory, and how we experience both. Inspired by the Norse tales of Odin's Ravens, Hugin and Munin. who stood for thought and memory, and were said to fly over the earth, returning to Odin each dusk with news of what they saw in the human world. Intense colours rich with detail and half hidden images and forms tumble through the images, speaking of remembered emotion and reflections on dreams.
