New Doodle Tutorials available!

Learning to do anything is hard, but however hard if you make it fun, if you make it relaxing, your skills will build through repetition because you’ll actually do it! Of course not everyone is going to be able to do everything, but I do think everyone can get better at anything through practice, the trouble is that long hours of practice can be disheartening and life rarely offers you the chance to have those long hours. What I hope you’ll find if you dip into the world of doodle, is that it’s a low pressure way of practice which doesn’t involve someone looking over your shoulder and asking ‘what’s that?’ because it isn’t anything, and because it isn’t anything, there’s not pressure to get it ‘right’. There’s just time to relax and secretly build your skills, and hopefully calm your mind by focusing on something that isn’t your problems and the general grind of life. I’ve tried meditation and honestly I cannot make it work for me, but doodling is the perfect way to distract the voice in you head and keep your hands busy.

You can join a whole series of doodle classes if you’d like to really dive in, but if you’d like a taster, there are two short doodle tutorial on my site and plenty more to come!
