Morgan Le Fey – A3 print

Morgan Le Fey is the half sister of King Arthur, a famed sorceress and queen in her own right. In traditional tellings of the myth, she is often portrayed as betraying him in league with  Mordred, Arthur’s incestiously concived nephew, but in more contemporary stories she has been revised and given a role as a wronged sister who strove to save the country from the excesses of Camelot, and who ultimately saved Arthur from the last battle and helped transport his body to Avalon.

My original painting combines hand drawn pen and ink work and free form abstract ink painting. with hand drawn abstract pattern work in pencil and ink.
